Cookie Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-29
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our site. They enable functionality and help us understand site usage.
Cookie Categories
Essential (always on)
These cookies are required for the site to function. You cannot opt out.
- Session cookies: keep you logged in
- CSRF tokens: protect against cross-site request forgery
- Support chat (
cw_conversation, andcw_snooze_campaigns_tillfor at most an hour): set only on pages you open while signed in, by our support chat; it keeps your conversation with us open from page to page - Your cookie choice (
darkmen_cookie_prefs, browser local storage): remembers what you chose in the banner. If you are signed in — or sign in later on the same device — the same choice is also saved to your account, so another device you sign in on does not ask again
Analytics (opt-in)
We use PostHog (EU data region) to learn which pages and advertising campaigns work.
- If you allow analytics: PostHog stores a random device identifier in a
cookie and in local storage (
ph_<project key>_posthog), so that your visits over time belong together, and records the page session with every form field masked. If you are signed in, the identifier is linked to your internal account number, never to your email or name. - If you refuse, or have not answered yet: nothing is written to your device. Visits are still counted, without cookies: PostHog hashes your IP address and browser into an identifier that changes every day and discards the IP. This cannot follow you from one day to the next.
- If you withdraw consent later, the device identifier is deleted and a small
flag (
__ph_opt_in_out_<project key>) records that you opted out.
Details of what is collected: Privacy Policy.
Marketing (opt-in)
Used for advertising and retargeting. Currently not in use.
Managing Cookies
You can change your preferences at any time: Cookie preferences in the site footer (and under Settings → Your data when signed in) reopens the banner with your current choice. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings.
Third-Party Cookies
The NOWPayments checkout (when you pay with cryptocurrency) may set its own cookies on their domain — see NOWPayments' privacy policy for details.
Updates
We may update this policy. The "effective date" at the top reflects the latest version.
