Trading-status flips on Bybit perps — matching stops while halted, positions already open stay frozen until it resumes.

What it is

A Bybit BTC, ETH, or SOL perpetual flips trading status — either halting (leaving "Trading", freezing the book) or resuming (matching restarts).

Why it matters

A halt suspends matching entirely — no new orders fill, and positions already on that book can't be closed or adjusted until it resumes. A resume can reopen at a sharply different price than where trading stopped.

How to read the alert

The alert carries Bybit's own status label and the instant it flipped. While an instrument is halted its book is frozen: resting orders cannot fill and new ones cannot be placed on that venue. A resume means matching has restarted, and the first prints after it are the market's first chance to reprice whatever happened during the freeze.
