What it is

Trading volume on a Bybit BTC, ETH, or SOL perpetual jumps to at least 3× its recent average in a single 5-minute window — a sudden burst of activity on one of the deepest, most liquid books in crypto.

Why it matters

Volume is the one part of a move that a thin book cannot manufacture: a 3× burst means orders actually filled. The multiplier is measured against that pair's own recent average, so it describes activity relative to the market's own normal rather than an absolute size.

How to read the alert

The alert reports the pair, the multiplier over its recent average, and the 5-minute window the burst landed in. That is a measurement of participation, not of direction — it says how much traded, not which way price went, which is why it is context for a chart rather than a reading on its own.
